In accordance with the May 2007 issue of Health, they stated (on pg. 95) the following:
“Let’s hear it for Illinois, Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont. They now have bold health insurance programs for virtually all their uninsured residents or children. More than 10 other states are headed in that direction, too — good news considering a new report that coverage for lower-income families has dropped dramatically in the last decade. Business and medical groups are also supporting some form of universal coverage. Even the critics who hated the idea back in Hillary Clinton’s first lady days are coming around.”
What are the other states are they referring to? I don’t know, but I sure hope that Texas is one of those….
