In Slate.com there was a cartoon that indicated the lack of US cooperation with the Global Warming issue.  With Al Gore’s campaign for the “Inconvenient Truth” that he has been doing in the past few years, you would think that the prospect of US’s involvement with the global warming issues would be higher.  What this cartoon fails to portray is the thought of what cooperation is being had by the other countries in this world.  I wonder what that would actually look like????

How many ways can you say “Happy Birthday” to an eight year old who is also a cancer patient???

Received this in the email today.  It has a direct link, too, to his site encouraging everyone to massively cooperate and send this young guy a means to get his wish for breaking the Guiness World Records for the most cards received.

The email:

Shane Bernier is a cancer patient at the Children’s Hospital of eastern Ontario.

He turns eight on May 30. His dream is to set a record for the most birthday cards ever received.

It will be a wonderful sign of support from the EMS community to help him reach his goal, so please consider sending him a birthday greeting.

His address is:

Shane Bernier
Box 484
Lancaster
Ontario
K0C 1N0

For more information go to : http://shanebernier.ca/

For more information about this feat that is set out before Shane Bernier, please read also Birthday Cards for Shane Bernier which confirms that he is indeed setting out to achieve this milestone.

Best of luck to you Shane, and many wishes for your future “Happy Birthday” card accomplishment, traveling to you from all over the world!!
