Was it four weeks of DJing that just passed?

Am I really on my 5th week of DJing now???

Wow!!!!

It hardly seems that soooo much time as passed when I am having sooo much fun learning about the world of DJing.

So many good things are happening.  I am having musicians wanting me to air their music and I am soooo very happy to do so.  I am all about the underdog and getting them some air time.  I am also all about not necessarily playing the same songs that you will hear on all other radio stations.  It might be a little bit of Indie music or a song that is sung by a well known singer or band that hasn’t been played in quite some time.

I have some bands giving me exclusivity to air their not yet released music as well.  I am so excited that they have their faith in me, which makes me so much more excited to do my shows.

Not this week, but next week, I am also looking forward to having a guest DJ on air with me.  Can’t wait until that happens. It’ll be fun to have the company of another DJ on air with me, who is also going to share with me some better organizational skills to get me set on the right track from my place.

Next week, too, I am meeting up with a dear musician friend of mine who is playing here in Austin for a change of pace. Can’t wait to see him and see what new materials he’ll let me share with you all. 😀

What other things are in store?  Who knows???? lol…

*Wishing that there were DJ passes to the SXSW shows here in Austin*

Guess you’ll just have to keep in touch and see what happens………………………

I know that whenever I have even considered dating anyone from a distance, especially that I have initially met off of the internet, I have sent them no less than 100 questions to complete. In some instances, it has been much longer than that — just short of actually running a background check. 🙂

Here is an application that is available on the internet, available through an organization called ApplySpace.   One of the things that I don’t like about their form is there is not a way seemingly to adjust the questions, but please check it out and let me know what you think….

Is it enough questions to ask?

Would you ask more?

If given the opportunity to ask additional questions, what would you ask???

Please advise…

Great businesses often start from being frustrated from others not necessarily meeting your own needs.  A friend’s husband has started this Your Chill Zone site as an alternate to MySpace in a sense, although not as populated.

Please go check it out sometime and let them know what you think; the more feedback he can get, the more opportunity he can have to improve Your Chill Zone.
Check it out by clicking here… Your Chill Zone!!

What a novel idea!

I was exploring around in 43Things.com.  If you haven’t gone there yet, you really should.  It is like having a large to do list; however, it is out there on the net.  Wouldn’t necessarily put your grocery list on there — or anything extremely personal (breaking up with my boyfriend, for example) — but, a general goal list for yourself – ways to improve your quality of life, or the lives of others is absolutely perfect for this on going list.  I haven’t put 43 Things yet on my list there, but it is growing (and shrinking as I mark things done off) constantly.

At any rate, while on 43Things.com, I discover a link to The Petri Project, which then leads me to the link for Vocation Vacations, part of the reason surfing on the net can become so very interesting!!

This is a place where one can explore, for example, other options to career paths if you are feeling that you have capped out at your career, feeling that the “life” of the career has been dimmed for some time, feeling that you are never going to reach any degree of potential in your present career — and, instead, you are finding yourself saying, “If only I had taken this (or that) career, life would be so different”, or “If only I had a way to work myself into a new career, I would jump out of this one in a heartbeat”, etc., etc.

This is a place where you can take a look at your “dream job” and explore the possibilities, even taking a vacation from your present lack luster job and truly get a hands on experience in your dream job to see if you would still consider it worth pursuing one day soon.

Go explore Vocation Vacations at your earliest convenience if you are even remotely dissatisfied with your present job and dream of all the possibilities and, possibly, even start putting it into action!!

Ingredients
Your favorite pizza dough or 1-2 frozen Rhodes white loaves, follow rising instructions and then separate each loaf into 2-3 pieces (depending on how big you want your pizzas to be)

Toppings:
Hard cheese: Asiago, Romano, Parmesan, Reggiano
Mild cheeses: Mozarella or Monterey Jack or Feta
Grilled portabello mushrooms
Fresh basil leaves
Sliced Kalamatta olives
Sliced white onions
Sliced green, red, yellow and orange peppers
Diced Sun-dried tomatoes
Use any meat from bacon to chicken

Sauce:
Any bottled pizza / pasta sauce or olive oil

Instructions
Don’t go strictly by our list — have fun and provide ingredients in separate bowls for people to create their own pizza. Roll dough to desired size and thickness. Brush with olive oil and grill over medium heat until golden brown. Remove from grill and top grilled side with your favorite ingredients. Return pizza to grill, uncooked dough-side-down, close lid and in about 7-10 minutes, you’ll be in gourmet pizza heaven! Serves 4-8
