This has to be a great boost in Texas’ ego to get one of the Regional Centers for the famed National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that has done so much work in combating the problems with abducted and missing children throughout the past few decades showing that something very good can come from something oh so bad.
First Lady Laura Bush announced yesterday (April 4, 2007) plans for the opening of the Regional Center here in Austin. See full story and video from Channel 8.
Can’t be more excited about this as an victim’s advocate, as well as one that has spent more than about five (5) years as a CASA advocate and a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL). I look forward to the opening of the office in its proposed NW Austin location and will post more information about it as it develops here for you to read as well.
