I called my exhibition Coffee With Rosie because in some households Domestic Violence, Abuse, Rape and Sexual Assault are more common than a cup of Coffee.
Inspired mainly by Man Ray and Cindy Sherman Coffee With Rosie depicts the tragedy of a physical and mental recovery from Domestic Violence and serious abuse in every form from the artists own experiences. At eighteen years old Rosie Harrison has put her reactive Mental Illness and complex emotional recovery into a surreal, stark, head on visual context as a fine arts digital photographer.”
